Soooo. Boredum's a killer, so I've descided to create a short desciption of every horse at the barn. Random, I knowwww.
*--Arizona. 22 year old ex show jumper. Very sweet 16.2hh chestnut mare. My first couple of rides at HFF were on her. Happily retired now.
*--Belle. Fun and energetic bay mare. Owned my one of my best friends Sara [eventingbelle.blogspot.com] She will go very far in both foxhunting and showing.
*--Dylan. Absolutly crazy buckskin gelding. Very smooth gaits, but the mind of a 4 year old child. Owned by an older rider at the barn named Suzanne. Going to be retired in the next 5 years due to ringbone.
*--Gus. Haha. I love this boy. He's still learning as he's still just a 5 year old. He is a chestnut and looks almost identical to Arizona. I helped train him while Indigo was off for about 6 weeks with a really bad absess last winter and spring.
*--Jefferson. Very stubborned gelding. He's got the best gaits in the world, but he was ''carriage'' issues. He likes to travel with his head looking at the stars. Love him... Sometimes. Owned by another older rider at the barn named Sally.
*--INDIGO. My baby. Wonderful 15year old fleabitten grey gelding. His stride is massive, he was an ex racehorse. His feet are horrible. He has trouble with a bowed tendon he got on the racetrack, and he sometimes gets absesses in the winter. Going to be my foxhunting mound this year. Hopefully...
*--Millie. Most peoples' first ride now that Arizona is retired. Very stubborned and mareish. Can be very fast; and very slow. Used to be a roping pony, now an english lesson pony.
Thats all the horses for now. We are getting a new mare within the next two weeks on a loan, to be used as a lesson horse. I'll probably post another one of these later....
p.s-- I almost forgot one... This is a possible horse for me. Maybe. Not likley, but hey I can dream.
*-- Jenny. Ahhhmazing 17.1hh Percheron mare. As sweet as can be, and she's only 6 years old. She would be my hunt horse and show horse. I'll post a picture of me and her and one of me and Indigo later. :))
