So today I had a nice ride on, The Beast. Only one buck. :) I consider that a sucess. He was a little slow and stiff, but that is understandable. He was ridden hard then given a week off. Anyways, Indy Boy got extra brownie points today. He got ridden for about two hours. =o We rode for like an hour in the arena, then as we were heading back up to the barn, we met a fellow boarder at HHF and went for a quick jaunt around the Top Pasture.. THENNN went back to the arena and rode for like 30 minutes (mostly just cooling out and watching the others ride.)
ANYWAYSSS. Today we worked on Hand Gallops and Sitting Trots. Last weekend at the show, they took out the pattern in the EQ class, and snuck in a hand gallop. We didn't do the best, so today we worked on it. He did very well. Then we worked on collection and getting his hind end up under him for once. We got about one time around before he lengthened his stride again, but thats okay. Tomorrow we have our weekly formal lesson, so another post will ensue that. :) Stay posted.
